The GROSS GZ 40 K is a compact four-shaft shredder designed for long, bulky and flexible materials. Wooden strips, plastic profiles, pipes, films and other waste materials prone to tangling are reliably fed in by the cutting shafts and shredded evenly. Thanks to its low rotational speed, the machine operates powerfully whilst producing comparatively little noise and dust.

Technical specifications

The material is fed directly to the cutting unit via a feed hopper. Two slow-rotating cutting shafts grip the waste material with their tearing teeth, draw it in automatically and shred it between the cutting discs. Two additional clearing shafts prevent long or flexible pieces from becoming entangled around the cutting mechanism and direct the shredded material towards the screen.

Only pieces smaller than the openings in the screen leave the machine. Larger pieces remain in the cutting chamber and are further shredded. This produces a uniform final particle size, determined by the screen mesh. The low rotational speed ensures high torque as well as comparatively quiet and low-dust operation.
