The GROSS GHZ T 6-13 series comprises GROSS’s most powerful horizontal shredders for industrial timber processing. With working widths of up to 1,300 mm, the machines shred large quantities of long wood offcuts, including battens, squared timber, profiles and offcuts from panels. The powerful feed system enables high throughput rates and seamless integration into automated production lines.

Technical specifications

A vibrating chute continuously conveys the wood waste to the feed roller. This picks up the material and feeds it in a controlled manner to the rotor, where it is shredded between the cutting blades and counter-blades. Larger pieces remain in the cutting chamber until they are small enough to pass through the screen. The screen mesh size determines the desired final particle size. The shredded material is then discharged for further processing – either by suction or via a screw conveyor.
