Technical specifications

The material is fed into the feed hopper by hand, by forklift or via a conveyor system. A hydraulic pusher feeds it in a controlled manner to the slow-running rotor. The cutting blades attached to the rotor grip the material and shred it against the stationary counter-blades.

As soon as the pieces are small enough, they fall through the screen fitted below the rotor. The size of the screen’s mesh determines the desired final particle size. The shredded material is then conveyed away via a conveyor belt, depending on the plant configuration, and fed into the next processing stage.
