The GROSS GAZ 1000 is a versatile single-shaft shredder for wood waste and plastic waste. Its optimal material feed, suitable cutting technology and interchangeable screens ensure a consistent particle size tailored to the subsequent process. Unlike the GAZK 800, the screen basket can be dropped down rather than being permanently bolted in place. This facilitates access and reduces the effort required for cleaning and maintenance.

Technical specifications

The material is fed into the feed hopper by hand, by forklift truck or via a conveyor system. A hydraulic pusher feeds it in a controlled manner to the slow-rotating rotor. The cutting blades attached to the rotor grip the material and shred it against the stationary counter-blades.

As soon as the pieces are small enough, they fall through the screen fitted below the rotor. The size of the screen’s holes determines the desired final particle size. Depending on the system configuration, the shredded material is then transported away – for example, via a conveyor belt – and fed into the next processing stage.
