GROSS GP 400 Brikettpresse

GP 400

Briquette press with matrix technology for continuous operation

For maximum quantities of residual material

The GROSS GP 400 is GROSS’s most powerful briquetting press and has been developed for the wood industry. Using die technology, it compacts large quantities of wood shavings, sawdust and sanding dust into dimensionally stable, rectangular briquettes, achieving a throughput of up to 400 kg per hour, depending on the material. This makes it ideal for industrial businesses with high volumes of waste wood – for their own use or for sale.

Technical specifications

In matrix technology, the shredded material is fed into the chip hopper either manually or via a screw conveyor. From there, a horizontal screw conveyor transports a defined quantity of material into the pre-compaction tower. Here, the material is pre-compacted vertically and then fed into the matrix.

The actual pressing process is carried out by a horizontally operating press cylinder: its press ram presses the pre-compacted material against the sturdy metal wall behind the matrix, forming it into a solid briquette. At the start of the next pressing cycle, a slide cylinder moves the die aside, making room for the next briquette. This process ensures a consistently high quality of briquettes and is particularly suitable for industrial applications.
